My woodworking story

Join me as I share my passion for woodworking, from humble beginnings to detailed craft projects. Discover what inspires each piece and learn about the techniques I use.

My name is Larry. I consider woodworking a hobby, something to be enjoyed in life. I started woodworking in 1991. I had a Wood magazine with a picture of a coffee table. I distinctly remember it: an oak frame and legs with a Carpathian elm burl veneer top. Beautiful! I had to make it. I also made two end tables to match. I was hooked!

Until I retired, I did not devote a lot of time or money to this hobby. Finally, after many years I have a climate controlled shop. I don’t have all the tools I want, but what I have is quality. Mostly I make inexpensive items (pens, boxes, toys, etc.) I have made the cabinets for my shop, as well a a cedar chest for a customer. It is time to start selling some of my work. I’ll go where this leads!

My woodworking passion

Inspired by the beauty of natural wood

Each piece I craft reflects my dedication to quality and care. I started woodworking as a hobby, but it quickly grew into a lifelong journey of learning and creating. I enjoy transforming raw wood into functional art. My projects range from simple to intricate designs. I am always seeking new techniques and ideas to improve my craft.
